John Jepson ~ Engine Builder, chief crew member~ A real asset to our team, we bought the original Sportsman #85 from him and he was nice enough to stay with us and become Gregorys' mentor and a great engine builder! Jepson Racing Engines He helps Greg with driving techniques and inspiration and between the two, they relate to the car set up in every situation.
Rich ~ Crew Manager~ Rich seems to find all the problems that the team seems to miss, as well as working on major jobs on the car, he gets right in there. Rich is a real asset to the team and never sits when we are at the track! He has two trucks to get ready and keep track of. He is always there when we call or even when we don't! He also has been "spotting" for Dan on the track when Paul can't make it because of schedule problems with his daughters racing!
Liz ~ Part of our support team! Very busy now with our second grandchild Aubrey!
Ke'iynan~ Our biggest fan ~ When Ke'iynan isn't playing sports on Friday or Saturday night, he can be found in the stands with Lisette. He always wears his Butler Motor sports shirt and cheers his Dad and Uncle on! He is our first grandson and is growing by leaps and bounds, before we know it, he will be on the pit crew telling the guys what to do!
Dan~ Dan is driving our second truck. Dan has been really working hard with his brother and father trying to get the truck ready. His career of a school teacher, high school baseball, football coach, and coaching his son's midget football team and most of all a Dad to my Grandson!
Lisette~ Here is a very special lady. She is very supportive to Dan and Ke'iynan. She is a great addition to our family and we welcome Lisette with open arms! Lisette has a 16 year old son Michael, we call him our "grandson". Dan and Lisette will be blessing us with another grandbaby in February 2009! That makes 4 grandchildren in less than 2 years! Isn't life wonderful! We are looking forward to February.
Mike~ Mike is a friend of Dan's from High School and has decided to become part of the team. He is eager to learn and is ready to pitch in any area that he is needed! He is a quick learner and luckily has a very good sense of humor!!! He works for StormTech which is a sponsor of ours and we are very happy to have both on board with us!
acing. Mom is extremely proud of her youngest son, as with all her boys. She also makes mean chilli and pulled pork!
Greg Sr.~ "Dad" Biggest support structure of the team & driver. Owner of all the cars, which he still has because he can't part with them! Gregory went to him and said " Can I start racin?" Greg said the smart thing and said ask your mother! He works on the cars 24/7 with Greg Jr. Greg Jr says " He is the person who got me where I am today and who will bring me to the future" Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a DAD! A heart a gold and a pocket of change! (All the big bucks have been spent) Dad has been "spotting" for Gregory Jr. on the track besides all his other duties.
Greg Jr ~ The Driver, started in Wacky Wednesdays at Waterford Speedbowl 2005, Rookie of
the year! 2006 Sportsman div. at Waterford which he had a feature win, heat race win, 7 top 10's, 3rd fastest in qualifying, finished the year 8th in points out of 42 while also racing part time at Stafford Speedway where he had an 8th place finish in preparing for full time 2007 and while building the new yellow 85 car. Paul Gruhn~ Spotter, Track Liaison, and comedian! Paul just joined the team this year and we welcome him to our "family". He fits right in and gives Gregory the needed advice on the track when needed. He is very supportive to Gregory and also gives him the extra push on the track when he needs it!
We thank you all for all your time you give us and we also thank your family for allowing you to help us to make us the team we are. We can not do this alone, that is why this is a TEAM sport! Thank you all so much! LET'S GO RACING!!!
